WHAT I HAVE DONE SO FAR
A few facts about my career path
My recent experience
2018 – 2020
Head of Design
@Conflux – Italy
My latest work experience and one of the biggest journeys of my career as I had a chance to build something from the scratch. As a Head of Design in Conflux my job was to create a design culture and assemble a creative team. I was to provide a creative vision and establish design processes and workflows as well as set the bar for quality not just for the design team itself but for the whole organisation.
To achieve that I was to participate in the process of hiring new team elements and discovering amazing talents with a vision of a complete and multidisciplinary team. I was performing market researches to understand new trends in design so that together with my personal experience I could decide on how work was scheduled and which methodological toolkit was going to be implemented and used throughout the team. I was to set and develop a design “north star” for the company. I was the primary voice of design inside and outside the company, sharing its work and evangelising its success and articulating its vision.
On the operational side of my work I would meet with clients to discuss their needs and interpret abstract business concepts and briefs. I would turn those into creative ideas and develop tailored UI and UX design solutions that respect not only user’s needs but business and technical requirements of each client. I would be in charge of developing a design strategy in line with clients marketing approach and based on User Centred Design while ideating look & feel that stands out yet refers the client’s brand values.
Very big part of may daily duties was developing strategic design plans with projected timelines and budgets, overseeing the design projects from start to finish and monitoring the staff members to ensure they adhere to the budget and timeline constraints. I would pitch ideas and the creative vision to the client, review feedback and communicate the project outline to the design team to assure appropriate and desired alternations of the final outcome.
Key Clients
2009 – 2018
Digital Art Director
@Accenture – Italy
Accenture was definitely the longest work experience I have ever had, therefore it taught me and shaped me the most. As a Digital Art Director I was seeing every project through at 360°, from concept to completion by collaboration with marketing and strategy teams to turn marketing concepts into creative designs as well as with development team to be sure that the concepts created are implemented as designed. I would manage every project and design team in timely manner even within tight deadlines and constant turnarounds of design requirements.
I would apply to my daily tasks conceptual thinking with creativity, effectiveness and sound knowledge of UX and UI principles and methodologies to come up with innovative ideas for clients, brands and products. This allowed me to create targeted creative concepts and amazing user experiences pushing digital boundaries whenever possible.
As a team lead I was not only ensuring the highest quality where all elements of every project are professionally executed. I was a mentor trying to empower and inspire younger colleagues to their full potential.
Working for an international company with an impressive portfolio of well known clients gave me an opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects from web portals to complex, rich and interactive contents across multiple devices and channels from various sectors which broadened my horizons not only as a designer, but as a person.
