POLICY COOKIE
This Cookie Policy is provided by Gabriele Ferrazzi with registered office in Via R.Forster 88 – 00143 Rome (RM), VAT number IT14702311003 and Fiscal Code. FRRGRL82L22H501L – PEC gabriele.ferrazzi@pec.it, as Data Controller of the navigation data on the website www.bearandcode.com (hereinafter “Site”) pursuant to Article 13 of European Regulation 2016/679 (hereinafter “GDPR”) and 122 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003, as updated by Legislative Decree 101/2018 (hereinafter “Privacy Code”) taking into account the Provision of the Guarantor Authority of 8 May 2014 “Identification of simplified procedures for the information and acquisition of consent for the use of cookies” (Published in the Official Journal no. 126 of 3 June 2014).
What are “cookies” and what are they used for?
Cookies are information (small strings of text) entered into the User’s browser when the Site is visited. They perform various important functions within the network (performing computer authentication, monitoring sessions, storing information on specific configurations regarding users who access the server, storing preferences, etc.). Cookies can be first or third party, where “first party” means cookies developed by the Owner of the site itself, while “third party” means cookies developed by Third Parties with respect to the Owner of the site. In the case of third party cookies, the Owner of the site does not have direct control over the individual cookies, and cannot install them directly or delete them. During navigation, the User may also receive cookies from different sites (so-called “third party” cookies) on his terminal, set directly by the managers of said websites and used for the purposes and according to the methods defined by them. There are different types of cookies that contain different information and perform different functions (e.g. performing computer authentication, monitoring sessions, storing preferences for sending targeted advertising messages, etc.). Each cookie, in turn, contains different data (e.g. the name of the server from which it comes, a numeric identifier, etc.). Such data may remain in the User’s device for different periods of time – a browser session, a few hours, several days or for longer periods.
Nature of cookies
Technical cookie
Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication on an electronic network, or to the extent strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user. Technical cookies are necessary for the correct functioning of the Site. Without the use of such cookies, some operations could not be performed or would be more complex and/or less secure. Technical cookies do not require the User’s consent, as they are necessary for the correct functioning of the Site. They are not used for other purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or manager of the website. They can be divided into:
– navigation or session cookies, guarantee normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate to access reserved areas); they are in fact necessary for the correct functioning of the site;
– analytics cookies, assimilated to technical cookies when used directly by the site manager to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site itself, in order to improve the performance of the site itself;
– functional cookies allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (for example, language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided by the site.
Profiling cookies
Profiling cookies are designed to create profiles relating to the user and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing the internet. The consent of the interested party is required for the use of profiling cookies. According to provision no. 229 of 8 May 2014, the user must be able to authorize or deny consent to the installation of profiling cookies if they are present.
